This website brings you the best in hunting, fishing, and stories of your adventures whether good or bad! My name is Amber and I am an avid sportsman or should I say sportsgirl! I am a disabled hunter who has bagged five large bucks, one Monster buck, two bear, two large gobblers, a Jake, a drake wood duck, an antelope, an elk, two geese, and more. And I look forward to bringing home bigger bucks, turkeys, bear, geese, duck, and large mouth bass in the future!
The buck you see me with on this page was my very first deer ever! He was taken on a "Dream Hunt" sponsored by Terry Boyce for Disabled Hunters! If you are a disabled young hunter and would like to go on a "Dream Hunt" or if you would like to help sponsor "Dream Hunts" as they help kids like me, you can e-mail Terry Boyce at terry.w.boyce@roadrunner.com or call him personally at 1-252-339-0102.
Another great program for disabled hunters that I have had the joy of attending is through the USSA (United Special Sportsman Alliance) with Briget O'Donahue. It was through the USSA that I killed my blackbear and an Alabama gobbler. You can receive more information by visiting their website by clicking here! You can also help them with sponsorship as well! Please care enough to help make a disabled child's dream come true!
And yet another great program for disabled hunters is the NC Handicapped Sportsmen, Inc. (president Ed Mays) They have also helped to make my dreams come true, as I have killed a couple of big bucks, a huge gobbler, and even an antelope during their hunts. Their website is: www.nchandicappedsportsmen.com They help provide hunts to disabled and/or terminally ill youth and adults, as well as catering to our courageous men and women serving or having served in our military.
Also, I have had the joy of going on hunting expeditions through the "Outdoor Dream Foundation," which was founded by Brad Jones. You may remember he was the coach of the SC High School where his relationship with the man called, "Radio" took place. This of course was made into the popular movie, "Radio." Like he did with Radio, Brad Jones is still making dreams come true for children with medical hardships. He certainly helped mine to come true with an Elk Hunt with Hunter Specialties and a blackbear hunt in NC. If you would like to see what else Brad is doing or sign up for a hunt, or make a donation, please visit his site at: http://www.outdoordream.org/
Finally there is a program for disabled or terminally ill children to go on hunting opportunities known as "Huntin the Wild." This great organization is also non-profit and is located in Mount Airy, NC. The President is Jeff Kinton and the Vice-President is Brandon Massey. You can make donations to this great worthy cause or if you know someone interested in these benefits, please send the information to them by visiting the web-site at www.huntinthewild.com I killed my trophy buck with this AWESOME program!
As you visit my website, I would like to hear your stories, see your pictures, and interact with you concerning your hunting adventures. If you would like to send me a picture of your big kill or big catch, please e-mail it to me at acsmackedhim@aol.com I will update this web-site regularly and We will talk about hunting products that work or don't and we will talk about programs for hunters and hunters with disabilities. Please make sure you sign my guestbook and visit my gallery, before you leave my site! Thanks for visiting and I look very forward to seeing your big game pictures!!!!
